Salary Range: $19 - $21 per hour
As we continue to grow and expand our Candlefish presence across different states and cities, salary structuring will vary based upon these factors: cost of living, market rates, local economic conditions, and legal requirements regarding minimum wage. Job Purpose: As a leader in the store, this role emphasizes mentorship, guiding and training Chandlers, while also optimizing processes for efficiency and consistency. The Lead Chandler collaborates closely with management to align employee engagement with business objectives, while also maintaining the values and culture of the Candlefish brand.
Reports To: General Manager & Assistant Manager
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Acting as Opening or Closing Store Lead when scheduled
- Consistently leading by example on and off the floor, providing feedback, guidance, and words of support to teammates, and actively looking for ways to improve your already awesome leadership skills
- Training new hires on specific assigned duties when scheduled
- Helping with shipping, inventory management, receiving, ordering, cycle counting, and other day to day operational tasks
- Teaching candle making workshops on a consistent basis, and having chandlers shadow you to train and learn
- Providing a remarkable customer service experience to all Candlefish customers
- Leading customers through a personalized fragrance exploration at our Candlefish Library
- Sharing your candle making & fragrance expertise with customers
- Guiding customers to the perfect curated purchase on our Retail floor
- Processing customer transactions & contributing to overall sales goals of the store
- Maintaining Candlefish merchandising, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Being a Candlefish ambassador both in & outside of the store

Skills and Qualifications:
- 1+ years of retail experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent/ GED
Work Environment:
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be able to stand on your feet for prolonged periods of time
