Charleston September Essential Oil and Fragrance Blending Workshop

We are excited to bring the opportunity to create your very own candle fragrance to the Candlefish workshop! Have you ever wanted to try out mixing and matching the perfect candle scents? Well now is your chance.  In this class we will explore common top, middle, and dry notes, compare the various fragrance families, and experiment with making the perfect combination using carefully curated essential oils and candle fragrance oils.  Choose from bright citrus notes, classic florals, natural herbaceous notes, and deep notes of woods and amber.

In this specialty class, you will try your hand at creative ways to build unique fragrance blends, and develop custom blends of your own using a variety of fragrances. Test out a few blends, choose two favorites, then combine your unique fragrance blends with 100% soy wax. Then mix, cool, and pour your candles to perfection!

Each participant will create two custom blends, guided by our experienced chandlers, and then pour two 9 oz candles to take home. Create your own customized label for the perfect finishing touch. Candles cool overnight at Candlefish and are ready for pick up the following day.

All candle making supplies and materials are provided, and don't forget classes at Candlefish are B.Y.O.B. - bring your own beverage - glassware provided! Participants also enjoy 15% off shopping during class. See you in the shop!

WORKSHOP POLICIES: 

Please read through our policies before registering for a class: 

1) Age limitations

Unless otherwise indicated, workshops at Candlefish are designed for adults ages 15 and older.  Because our candle workshops are BYOB, involve high temperatures, and are intended for adults, we aim to create an adult friendly atmosphere. Please contact info@candlefish.com with any questions! 

2) Punctuality

We get it, things happen and you run late from time to time. Although we won’t give you a tardy slip for being late to class, please be aware that classes start promptly at 10AM, 2PM or 6PM. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, pop those corks, and mingle with your new friends so we can start on time.

 If you are going to be late*, please call the shop ahead of time (843) 371-1434 and let us know, otherwise we may begin the class without you and we don’t want to do that! This policy is in place mainly out of respect for the other class participants, and is also due to our shop staffing.

 *If you or any members of your group are going to be over 15 minutes late, we ask that you reschedule for a later date. We are happy to help you do this, but please give the shop a call before the class begins.

Classes typically run for 1.5 hours.

 Private Classes: If you are interested in a private group class with custom times or additional content, please contact info@candlefish.com so we can plan your private event. This way we can better accommodate your event needs!

 3) Cancellation Policy

 For cancellations made at least 48 hours (two days) in advance:

      For Credit Card: Refunds will be issued

      For Check: Candlefish will issue a refund check within 10 days.

      For Cash: Customer refunds, up to $100, available in the store.

 For cancellations made less than 48 hours (two days) in advance: class credit issued in amount of class fee.

4) Changing Class Dates

In the event that something comes up and you need to change your class registration, we are happy to work with you to find a more suitable class time. Please contact Candlefish directly at 843-371-1434 or info@candlefish.com and we will be happy to assist you in this process. Class changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled event.

5) Candle Pick-Up

The candles you make in class will cure overnight at Candlefish, and are ready to be picked up the day following your workshop. Candlefish will babysit your candles for one week following your candle class, so please make arrangements to pick up before the end of the week!
